Certificate in Autism Studies
The purpose of the Certificate in Autism Studies is to provide specialized training for direct support professionals who work with individuals diagnosed as having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The program is eligible for a full range of Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and although this program does not lead to licensure or academic credits, it will enhance the knowledge and skills of undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals employed in public school and clinical settings or the adult learner who wants to professionalize their support role. The Certificate in Autism Studies Program is offered through Antioch University, Santa Barbara, California.

Certificate in Direct Support Studies
As a member of the National Organization for Human Services (NOHS) and the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), Innovative Learning in partnership with Antioch University Santa Barbara (AUSB) is announcing the release of their certificate program in Direct Support Professional Studies (DSPS). This certificate Program will be available August 1, 2009. AUSB is fully accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). All courses have been developed to meet, and exceed the NOHS Community Support Skills Standards. This Certificate program presents a unique opportunity for people working in the sector to gain formal recognition for their studies through a range of nationally and internationally recognized accrediting bodies. The courses are designed to cover more than 15 recognized competency areas.
